Salary: Up to Php 170,000 per month!
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a critical role in building and scaling our enterprise data platform. This is a 12-month independent contractor opportunity, ideal for professionals who enjoy working on high-impact, project-based engagements with modern technologies.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, work with tools like Databricks and Azure, and help shape the future of our data ecosystem.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data lake/warehouse architectures
- Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
- Lead implementation of modern tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and other data engineering frameworks
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data platform performance and reliability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions and insights
- Create high-level and detailed technical designs for data systems
- Apply best practices in coding, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Stay updated on the latest trends in data engineering and analytics
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- At least 5+ years experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering
- At least 5+ years experience in system architecture and integrated solutions design
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Strong programming skills in Python or Type (microservices/data integration)
- Experience with Databricks, PySpark or modern data warehousing solutions
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Power BI semantic models, DAX, and REST APIintegration is an advantage.
