Senior Data Product Engineer

PBT Group is looking for a Senior Data Product Engineer to join a delivery-focused data environment in Johannesburg.

We're looking for a senior, hands-on data professional with strong experience in Data Modelling, Data Architecture, Python, Spark, Data Integration, APIs and Cloud (AWS/Azure).

Experience with technologies such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, REST/GraphQL, Hive/Trino, Databricks/Spark or similar modern data platforms would be advantageous.

Banking, Compliance, AML or Financial Crime experience would be a major plus.

We're looking for someone who is mature, self-driven, technically strong and comfortable taking ownership and getting into the detail to deliver solutions.

Johannesburg – 4 days in office (non-negotiable)
