Become a pivotal member of the CaseCentral product team, dedicated to transforming the support provided by the Ministry of Social and Family Development to at-risk communities. In this role, you will spearhead the AI strategy across the ministry, ensuring a seamless integration between technological advancements and social service policies. Your efforts will be crucial in shifting the focus from reactive support to proactive interventions, ultimately enhancing the lives of families and children in need. Key facts

Design and implement a comprehensive AI roadmap for the Ministry, ensuring alignment with national objectives and digital transformation initiatives. Create and enforce governance frameworks that prioritize AI ethics, algorithmic fairness, and risk management, adhering to IM8 standards. Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and policy stakeholders, effectively translating the potential of AI into scalable solutions for social services. Develop and refine predictive models and early warning systems aimed at identifying families and children who may require intervention. Generate insightful data visualizations and dashboards to facilitate informed decision-making for caseworkers and ministry leadership. Establish data quality benchmarks, schemas, and lineage protocols to maintain the integrity and reliability of information within CaseCentral. Provide strategic and administrative support for digital and AI governance steering committees, ensuring effective oversight and direction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI initiatives are effectively integrated into existing workflows and processes. Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI systems, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes. Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the understanding of AI tools and methodologies among non-technical staff. Engage with external stakeholders and partners to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing in the field of AI and social services. Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and data science to continuously improve the ministry’s approach to service delivery. Requirements
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related discipline. At least 7 years of professional experience in Data Science or Product Analytics, demonstrating a strong track record of impactful projects. High-level proficiency in Python and SQL, particularly for managing and manipulating large datasets. Comprehensive understanding of the entire AI lifecycle, including MLOps, predictive modeling, and natural language processing (NLP). Proven experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Familiarity with statistical methods and machine learning techniques, showcasing a robust analytical skill set. Nice to have
Knowledge of public sector data policies or familiarity with IM8 standards would be advantageous. Experience in implementing AI governance tools, model validation practices, or risk management frameworks. Previous involvement in projects that require collaboration with governmental or social service organizations. Skills & tools
