Senior Data Software Engineer (Cloud Platform & B2B APIs)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Software Engineer to join a Cloud Platform & Data team building a next-generation B2B API platform. The platform enables secure sharing of connected vehicle and mobility data with external partners, including fleet customers, insurance providers, charging companies, and other data consumers. In this role, you will design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-native solutions while contributing to solution architecture, security, and deployment strategies across modern cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, microservices, and REST APIs
• Build cloud-native platform capabilities including:
  • Authentication & Authorization
  • Tenant Management
  • Vehicle Management
  • Subscription & Entitlement Management
  • Metering and Billing Support
  • Monitoring and Observability
• Design secure OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect (OIDC) integrations
• Develop APIs for external partners and B2B customers
• Troubleshoot production issues across APIs, microservices, deployments, and integrations
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and data engineers to deliver scalable solutions
• Support integrations across AWS, Azure, and other cloud environments
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and deployment processes
• Ensure software quality through unit, integration, API, and regression testing
• Produce technical documentation for APIs, services, and architectural decisions
• Take ownership of technical solutions from design through deployment and operational support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend software engineering or platform development
• Strong experience building backend systems, APIs, and microservices
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and API architecture
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
• Hands-on experience with Java, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js
• Strong AWS cloud development experience
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and software testing
• Experience working in Agile product teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Databricks or modern data platform experience
• Azure and multi-cloud integration experienceAutomotive, mobility, or connected vehicle domain knowledge
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and production support tools.
