Senior Database Administrator designs, implements, and maintains university databases, ensuring security, performance, and compliance while supporting Oracle ERP and analytics systems.

Job Description



  • Perform research and analyze requirements.

  • Administer and enforce standards.

  • Audit database systems.

  • Manage database systems using available database tools.


Provide data assurance:



  • Gather and document security requirements.

  • Implement and enforce security requirements.

  • Maintain and improve security in response to industry developments and user experience.

  • Protect corporate data.


Provide database client and user services:



  • Provide and support development and production environments.

  • Plan and deliver user training.

  • Adapt existing structure to new business environments.


Perform database testing:



  • Develop test plan and system.

  • Perform tests.

  • Document test results and make recommendations.


Database Administration Operational activities:



  • Create and monitor database and system activity planning, monitoring and evaluation for Bina Nusantara.

  • Monitor database administration activities in BINUS units including configuration, security, resource monitoring and reporting, troubleshooting.

  • Provide excellent service towards user, in relation to the service request, data and information update in BINUS business unit/ division.

  • Design and apply procedures related to database, in relation to database authorization, change and withdrawal.

  • Monitor and analyze database performance.

  • Ensure all the data complies with legal regulations.

  • Maintain the quality of database administration processes.

  • Ensure data security and accuracy in all BINUS business unit/division.

  • Ensure backup data in accordance with existing instructions. ERP & Analytics:

  • Coordinate the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure of Oracle ERP (PeopleSoft) and Analytic Application.

  • Ensure the availability and operation of Oracle ERP and Analytic database for operational activities conducted by units within BINUS Units.

  • Participate in the technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure related to Oracle ERP and Analytic Application.

  • Perform test application Oracle ERP & Analytic System and evaluate the system status.

  • Undertake all required Oracle and Analytic database administration activities including systems monitoring, backups, production systems continuity planning, system security and patch management.

  • Ensure backup oracle database in accordance with existing instructions.


Supporting activities for management:



  • Create activities report.

  • Perform activities related to Quality System.

  • Perform other activities as instructed by direct supervisor.


General Requirement



  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, (preferably in Computer Studies)


Work Exposure/ Experience:



  • Minimum 2 years working experience in Information Technology, particularly in database, MS SQL and Oracle

  • Experienced in SQL programming Special Skill:

  • Database Management System (DBMS)

  • Web Services Administration (system and application)
