Senior Database Administrator
Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions, optimize performance, implement replication and high availability, support development teams, ensure scalability and disaster recovery, and automate infrastructure and database lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
- Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
- Ensure database performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery across bare-metal and virtual machine environments
- Implement and manage replication chains, partitioning or sharding, and backups
- Assist development teams with creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
- Troubleshoot database issues
- Drive automation using Terraform, Puppet, and custom tooling for infrastructure and database lifecycle management
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field
- Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions
- Strong knowledge of SQL, including DDL, DML, and DCL
- Experience with AWS or GCP
- Proficiency in Linux
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
