Senior Developer (Java/Kotlin)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to help build and optimize the next generation of cloud-native connectivity solutions. You will join a diverse, cross-functional team working in agile sprints, contributing to state-of-the-art backend services and APIs that power global digital services used by millions of customers daily. The job includes building brand-new features, setting the standard for resilient microservice design, and converting complex business requirements into high-performance technical solutions.

Requirements:

• +5 years of professional experience developing complex backend applications on the JVM platform using Java and Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, secure API design (REST/GraphQL), and hosting resilient services.
• Solid understanding of data streaming and databases, specifically Kafka and Postgres.
• Experience with automated workflows, containerization, and cloud environments using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written (Swedish is a major plus).
• Highly prioritized: Currently residing in Sweden with a valid, pre-existing Swedish work permit and available for a quick onboarding/short notice period.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with search and monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch (with APM), Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization solutions, performance optimization, and using SLO/SLI to drive improvements.

Location:

On-site in Gothenburg, Sweden. Please note that this specific assignment requires being 100% on-site at the customer's office every day of the workweek; remote work is not available.
