For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:
- 5 years of experience as a Senior Developer Oracle Retail Merchandising
- Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Retail Merchandising Modules and Oracle PL/SQL, including complex SQL development, performance tuning, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers for retail merchandising applications.
- Ability to design, develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle Retail Merchandising solutions with integration to upstream and downstream systems, data migration, and batch processing with robust error handling and job scheduling.
- Experience troubleshooting application, data, integration, and performance issues supporting enterprise-scale retail merchandising environments with a focus on ensuring data quality through validation, reconciliation, and profiling.
- Knowledge of Oracle database concepts and Oracle Retail data flows combined with retail merchandising domain knowledge essential for effective solution implementation and support.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including functional consultants, business analysts, QA, and other development teams following Agile/Scrum methodologies and utilizing Git and CI/CD practices.
- Good to have skills including Unix/Linux shell scripting, data migration and ETL processes, data warehousing concepts such as fact/dimension models, star/snowflake schemas, and slowly changing dimensions (SCD).
- Senior-level responsibility including ownership of technical deliverables, participation in technical design, code reviews, defect resolution, release activities, and production support for performance-critical Oracle Retail merchandising applications.
- Fluency in English (at least a B2/C1 level)
- Availability for Hybrid model (based in Porto)
- Being based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit
