Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer with strong expertise in Kong API Gateway, Python, and Lua scripting to design, develop, and manage secure, scalable API gateway solutions and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain APIs using Kong API Gateway.
• Configure Kong services, routes, consumers, upstreams, and plugins.
• Develop backend solutions using Python and custom gateway functionality using Lua.
• Build and manage REST API integrations.
• Implement API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Monitor API performance, availability, and latency.
• Troubleshoot API gateway and integration issues.
• Support API optimisation and scalability.
• Deploy API components using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills:

• 8-10 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway.
• Excellent proficiency in Python and Lua scripting.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and API integrations.
• Good knowledge of API security and authentication.
• Experience with API monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
