Senior DevOps Developer
Summary
The Senior DevOps Developer will lead the migration of container environments to Azure Red Hat OpenShift and modernize business decision management platforms. The role involves building CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and ensuring security and governance across containerized applications.
Here’s a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you’ll have :
- Accelerate the migration of container environments to an Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) platform;
- Ensure the evolution, improvement and modernization of the business decision management platform;
- Develop and make available automated tools, services and accelerators for business rule applications;
- Deploy and operate containerized applications using DevOps and governance best practices;
- Strengthen automation, standardization of deployments, and security posture of environments;
- Support teams in the implementation of cloud computing solutions and the technological transition;
- Reduce operational risks, vulnerabilities, and technical debt related to the platform;
- Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure the success of initiatives.
The profile you are looking for is as follows:
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud platforms;
- Have real-world experience with Kubernetes in a production environment on Azure;
- Be proficient in OpenShift, ideally Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO);
- Know Docker and containerization platforms;
- Experience developing microservices with Java, Spring Boot, JPA and Angular;
- Understand persistence mechanisms with JPA or other ORMs;
- Use Helm Charts for application deployment and management;
- Manage source code with Git, GitOps, Argo CD, or Flux, as well as tools such as VS Code, IntelliJ, and Bash;
- Automate deployments and configuration of environments;
- Leverage Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines;
- Deploy containerized applications in an automated way;
- Master DevSecOps principles and vulnerability management of Java applications and their dependencies;
- Administer secrets and cloud security controls;
- Understand compliance and governance requirements;
- Participate in Kubernetes or OpenShift migration projects (an asset);
- Perform cloud platform transformations (an asset);
- Perform containerized application migrations between different platforms (an asset);
- Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics (an asset);
- Use Splunk, Dynatrace or Gatling (an asset);
- Ensure incident management and platform performance (an asset);
- Knowledge of Azure SQL Database and PostgreSQL (an asset);
- Understand the stored procedure code that needs to be rewritten in Java (an asset);
- Proficiency in Ingress, Load Balancer, DNS, Azure Networks, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) (an asset);
