Detailed Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer supporting AMK Technology on an on-site basis in Malaysia with visa sponsorship available, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of cloud infrastructure automation, monitoring stack configuration, and release management. Your day-to-day responsibilities include architecting cloud environments, authoring infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation, deploying monitoring and logging solutions with Prometheus and the ELK stack, driving infrastructure automation, collaborating with cross-functional software development squads during agile sprint cycles, and interacting directly with talent acquisition specialists like Santhosh Subramani.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure and scalable DevOps environments for enterprise applications.
• Author, maintain, and version-control infrastructure as code (IaC) templates utilizing Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Implement, configure, and manage comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks utilizing Prometheus and the ELK Stack.
• Design and optimize automated deployment processes, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Administer containerized workloads, microservices clusters, and automated container orchestration platforms.
• Perform rigorous troubleshooting, performance profiling, log aggregation, and root-cause analysis for cloud infrastructure anomalies.
• Implement strict cloud security hardening, identity and access management (IAM) policies, network segmentation, and backup protocols.
• Maintain meticulous technical documentation, cloud network architecture diagrams, deployment runbooks, and disaster recovery plans.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional hands-on experience in DevOps engineering and cloud infrastructure administration.
• Strong, demonstrable operational expertise in cloud environments and infrastructure automation.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Deep practical experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Solid practical grasp of container technologies, CI/CD pipeline management, and cloud networking protocols.
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving aptitude, system debugging capabilities, and professional stakeholder communication skills.
