Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure & Databricks (m/f/d) – Freelance or Full-time

Short Description of the Position / Project

Your role is to support the client team in a long-term project in the areas of Azure cloud infrastructure, DevOps and data platforms. You will work closely with the client, take ownership of your tasks and act as the team lead’s deputy when needed. The project languages are English and Hungarian. Alongside your work on client projects, we offer opportunities for further training in testing and/or development as well as for improving your language skills (German, English).

The project is based in Vienna. Most of the work is done remotely, with only a small share of on-site presence at the client. Travel expenses are of course covered by us.

We are an IT services company with a young, dynamic and flat organizational structure. Our focus is on software testing and software development. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure & Databricks (m/f/d) for a long-term client project, either on a freelance basis or as a full-time employee.

Our Expectations

Must have:

• Several years of relevant experience in DevOps and cloud engineering
• Cloud: solid understanding of Microsoft Azure
• DevOps: good understanding of DevOps principles and practices in general
• Technical skills and tools: hands-on experience with Databricks, GitHub, Azure DevOps and Terraform
• Release management: basic understanding of release and deployment management
• Organizational skills: confident use of Confluence and Jira, including proactively keeping tasks, tickets and Confluence pages up to date
• Communication skills: strong communication skills and the confidence to engage directly with the client and ask questions proactively
• Leadership: ability to steer the team during the absence of the team lead
• Language skills: English at B2 level or higher and good Hungarian skills (project languages: English and Hungarian)
