We are seeking a hands-on DevOps / Platform Engineer to manage, scale, and automate the AWS-hosted infrastructure powering our platform. In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams to improve deployment reliability, strengthen observability, maintain Infrastructure as Code, and support high-availability production environments
Responsibilities
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure delivery using CloudFormation and Terraform, ensuring proper state management, security policies, and drift control.
CI/CD & Automation: Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite, GitHub Actions) to enable safe, frequent, and repeatable production deployments.
Observability & Monitoring: Maintain production monitoring, dashboards, and alerting systems using Datadog to ensure operational visibility and fast incident detection.
Application & Platform Support: Partner with software engineers to support containerized workflows (Docker) and runtime services built on Ruby on Rails, React, and adjacent microservices.
Reliability & Security: Apply least-privilege principles, participate in on-call rotations, drive incident response, and perform post-incident Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Requirements
Cloud Infrastructure: Strong hands-on experience operating production infrastructure on AWS.
Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with IaC tooling; experience with CloudFormation is preferred, and strong Terraform experience is highly valued.
Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms (AWS ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
CI/CD Expertise: Demonstrated experience building and troubleshooting release pipelines using GitHub Actions, Buildkite, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Observability: Working knowledge of production monitoring, logging, and tracing practices (Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Splunk).
Systems & Scripting: Strong understanding of Linux systems and operational automation using Bash or Python.
Communication: Advanced/Fluent English skills with the ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly across distributed teams.
Nice to Have
Exposure to fintech, regulated financial environments, or strict security compliance practices.
Practical experience with OIDC cloud authentication, HashiCorp Vault, or automated pipeline security scanning (Trivy, Snyk).
Experience with PagerDuty and structured SLA/SLO practices.
