Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in web application hosting, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of AWS services, Docker, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or OpenShift. Proficiency in Typescript and Java will enhance the role further.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS CDK.

  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

  • Manage Docker deployments and orchestration with Kubernetes or OpenShift.

  • Oversee software releases and deployments while managing risks.

  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications and infrastructure.

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience with AWS ecosystem (VPC, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, ECS/EKS, IAM, S3, CloudWatch).

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CDK.

  • Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

  • Experience with Jenkins Shared Libraries and Groovy scripting.

  • Strong containerization and orchestration experience using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS/OpenShift.

  • Experience managing application hosting, delivery, routing, caching and API Gateway configurations.

  • Experience in software release management and deployment automation.

  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing application/infrastructure performance in AWS.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AEM and JVM application optimization.

  • Knowledge of OpenTelemetry (traces, metrics, logs).

  • Experience with TypeScript and serverless development.

  • Knowledge of Java/Web application development processes.

  • Experience with ECS in addition to Kubernetes/EKS.
