We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer (10–15 years experience) to lead our DevOps strategy, oversee infrastructure design, and ensure seamless deployment, scalability, and reliability of our systems. This role demands strong technical leadership, advanced cloud expertise, and the ability to guide engineering teams toward best-in-class DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams—including Software Engineering, QA, Security, and Product—to align DevOps initiatives with business goals.
  • Oversee resource planning, environment management, and release coordination across multiple projects.
  • Architect and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Design and implement microservices-ready environments, including container orchestration using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup strategies, and multi-region or hybrid cloud configurations.

CI/CD & Automation

  • Build, enhance, and maintain enterprise-level CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Drive automation initiatives across development, testing, security, and deployment processes.
  • Implement robust versioning, branching, and deployment standards across the organization.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Configuration Management

  • Implement and manage IaC using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, Cloud Formation or similar.
  • Standardize environment provisioning and configuration to ensure consistency and efficiency across all environments.

Monitoring, Performance & Reliability

  • Oversee end-to-end system monitoring, alerting, observability, and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, or equivalent.
  • Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization for cloud resources.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and patching.
  • Work with Security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO, SOC2, PCI-DSS, or GDPR.
  • Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and standards to improve efficiency and system reliability.
  • Conduct technical documentation, post-mortems, and process reviews to promote continuous learning.

Other Responsibilities

  • Handle environment audits, infrastructure cost reporting, and cloud usage optimization.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 10–15 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Engineering, or related fields.
  • Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services.
  • Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration, microservices architecture.
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar.
  • Strong experience with distributed systems, networking, DNS, load balancing, VPC, and cloud security.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell).
  • Expertise in monitoring, logging, observability, and performance tuning.
  • Proven experience managing production-grade applications in complex cloud environments.

Nice-to-Have

  • Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Expert, CKA/CKAD, Terraform Associate).
  • Experience with GitOps frameworks (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Familiarity with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Cloud Functions).
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries or enterprise environments
