We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a leading banking environment.
This is a hands‑on role where you will focus on AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, cloud platforms, and operational reliability. You will work closely with developers, architects, security teams, and other engineers to build and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable technology environments.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, automating processes, and improving how development teams deliver software.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Automation
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable software deployments
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code
Develop deployment, release, and environment management solutions
Improve developer experience through reusable pipeline and deployment templates
Integrate security and compliance requirements into pipelines and infrastructure
Identify manual processes and implement automation to improve efficiency
Work hands‑on with AWS cloud services in a large‑scale banking environment
Build and support workloads using services such as EC2, RDS, EBS, EKS, ECS, Load Balancing, Secrets Manager, KMS, and Service Catalog
Use AWS CDK as the primary Infrastructure as Code tool
Work with CloudFormation, Ansible, and scripting where required
Apply cloud networking concepts including security groups, DNS, TLS, routing, and load balancing
Support secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments
Reliability & Monitoring
Improve system reliability, performance, and resilience
Implement effective monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards
Troubleshoot production and infrastructure issues
Support incident response and identify ways to prevent recurring issues
Apply SRE principles to improve platform reliability where applicable
Work with application teams to troubleshoot performance issues, including Java‑based applications
Work closely with developers, architects, security teams, and other technical stakeholders
Provide technical guidance on DevOps, AWS, automation, and reliability practices
Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring
Promote secure, automated, and repeatable delivery practices across teams
Requirements & Qualifications
Must‑Have Experience
7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar engineering role
Strong hands‑on experience with AWS
Strong experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly AWS CDK
Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
Experience with monitoring and observability across cloud or hybrid environments
Experience working with Linux and Windows Server
Understanding of the AWS Well‑Architected Framework
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
AWS: EC2, RDS, EBS, EKS, ECS, Load Balancing, Secrets Manager, KMS, Service Catalog
Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK, CloudFormation
Monitoring & Observability: AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK
Scripting: Python and/or Bash
Other: Ansible, Zabbix, WebLogic 14c
Advantageous Experience
Experience applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles in production
Experience in banking or financial services environments
Experience working within PCI‑DSS or other regulated environments
Experience with low‑latency Java applications Experience with infrastructure performance troubleshooting
Knowledge of security, audit, change control, and compliance requirements
