Senior DevOps Engineer

What you will be doing:

• Design, implement and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps .
• Establish consistent deployment patterns across .NET applications, Azure services, integrations, databases and enterprise platforms .
• Automate build, testing, packaging, deployment and release processes.
• Establish and maintain effective Git, branching, pull request and code review practices.
• Ensure application and configuration versions are traceable across development, testing and production environments.
• Support deployment and release management for .NET/C# applications and services .
• Build deployment automation for Azure services and supporting infrastructure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.
• Support Azure configuration, secrets, certificates and service connections using secure practices.
• Work with Azure platform teams on networking, identity, security, monitoring and environment provisioning.
• Develop controlled deployment approaches for enterprise ERP platforms and their associated integrations.
• Support deployment automation and release management across Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) where applicable.
• Manage deployment dependencies between ERP configuration, integrations, .NET applications, database changes and downstream systems.
• Coordinate releases across DEV, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production and Production environments.
• Manage release dependencies across multiple applications, platforms and technology teams.
• Establish release readiness checks and deployment runbooks.
• Ensure appropriate rollback, roll-forward and recovery procedures are in place.
• Support major programme releases, cutovers and go-live activities.
• Ensure deployments comply with SDLC, cybersecurity, change management and segregation-of-duties requirements .
• Maintain end-to-end traceability from source code through build, testing, approval and production deployment.
• Implement automated quality and security gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• Reduce manual deployment activity and configuration drift between environments.
• Maintain deployment logs and evidence required for audit and regulatory purposes.
• Integrate deployment processes with monitoring, logging and alerting capabilities.
• Support application teams with Azure monitoring and observability.
• Troubleshoot deployment and environment-related production incidents.
• Drive root-cause analysis for recurring deployment failures.
• Continuously improve deployment reliability, automation and recovery capability.
• Provide DevOps engineering guidance and standards to development teams.
• Work with system integrators and third parties to ensure solutions comply with internal DevOps and deployment standards.
• Support knowledge transfer from programme implementation teams into internal engineering and support teams.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years' relevant technology experience , with significant experience in DevOps, release engineering or software engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps , including Pipelines, Repos and Artifacts.
• Strong experience with CI/CD and release processes .
• Strong experience deploying .NET/C# applications .
• Strong knowledge of Git and modern source-control practices .
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure .
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code , preferably Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience managing deployments across multiple enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of application configuration, secrets and certificate management.
• Experience with SQL/database deployment and versioning .
• Experience supporting complex enterprise application or ERP deployments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, change management, release management and production controls .
• Experience troubleshooting complex deployment and environment issues.
• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting technologies .

Beneficial:

• Oracle Fusion Cloud experience.
• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) deployment experience.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and source control for Oracle Cloud artefacts.
• Understanding of Oracle Fusion APIs, integrations and BI Publisher .
• Experience working across hybrid Oracle and Microsoft/Azure architectures .
• Experience with automated testing integrated into deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Azure Monitor and Application Insights or equivalent observability tools.
• Experience working in banking, financial services or another regulated environment .
• Experience supporting major ERP transformation programmes and production cutovers.
• Experience with Octopus or Jenkins in addition to Azure DevOps.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and enterprise integration environments.
