Summary

Analyzes Capesize dry bulk freight markets, focusing on the C3 trade route, to produce reports that guide chartering and trading decisions.

Monitor and analyse the Capesize dry bulk freight market, with a focus on the C3 trade route.
Analyse freight market trends by evaluating factors including iron ore, bauxite, coal, oil prices, macroeconomic developments, vessel supply and demand, and other market fundamentals.
Develop and maintain market analysis models, and produce regular research reports to support chartering, commodity trading and business decision-making.
Collect, organise and analyse industry data, providing timely market insights, risk alerts and trend analysis.

Bachelor's Degree or above in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Economics, Finance, Business, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in shipping, chartering, commodity trading or related industries.
Strong understanding of the Capesize dry bulk market and the C3 trade route, with the ability to independently analyse market developments and freight trends.
Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to produce high-quality market reports independently.
Good command of both English and Mandarin (spoken and written), with strong cross-cultural communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with international shipping companies, shipbrokers, commodity trading firms or maritime research organisations.
Familiarity with shipping market data platforms and analytical tools such as FFA, AIS, Kpler, or similar industry systems.
Background in finance, economics, quantitative analysis or data analytics, with experience using Python, SQL, Power BI, AI tools, or other digital technologies to develop freight, cost and profitability models that support chartering, trading and business decisions.
