Orion Group Life Sciences are currently recruiting a Senior EHS Engineer on behalf of our Multinational Biopharmaceutical Client based in Sligo on an initial 12-Month contract with potential to extend.

We are seeking an experienced Senior EHS Engineer with approximately 8+ years’ experience to provide technical EHS support to engineering projects and contractor activities.
The role will work closely with Engineering, Project teams and contractors to identify and manage EHS and process-safety risks through design, construction, commissioning and project execution.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior EHS Engineer with approximately 8+ years’ experience to provide technical EHS support to engineering projects and contractor activities.
The role will work closely with Engineering, Project teams and contractors to identify and manage EHS and process-safety risks through design, construction, commissioning and project execution.
Key requirements:
- Strong technical/engineering capability with the ability to interpret P&IDs, PFDs, equipment layouts and engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated experience in process safety, technical risk assessment, HAZOP/PHA and design safety reviews.
- Strong experience supporting capital projects and contractor management, including RAMS, Permit-to-Work, LOTO, line breaking and other high-risk activities.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving skills, with experience investigating complex EHS or technical issues.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to technically challenge contractors and engineering teams and translate complex risks into practical solutions.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant discipline
- 8+ years experience within EHS on projects, construction upgrades.
