Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer – Medical Devices

STERIS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement embedded firmware and enterprise software for medical devices. You will work with C/C++/C# across embedded and enterprise environments, with responsibilities spanning design reviews, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver compliant software solutions.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, and strong proficiency in CAN/I2C/SPI/UART, TCP/IP/TLS, and

Architect and implement embedded firmware and enterprise software for medical devices. Lead mid-size projects and contribute to design reviews and code reviews. Collaborate across groups (Quality, Regulatory, Marketing) to plan requirements and solutions. Perform unit/integration testing and resolve defects. Create software design and verification documentation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of software engineering experience. 4+ years’ experience in C++ development for embedded systems. Experience with low-level embedded interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI, UART) and RTOS/embedded Linux.
