Senior Embedded Payment Solutions Engineer

Alpitronic Americas LLC is seeking a software engineer to integrate and adapt payment solutions for customers. You will develop in C++ on embedded Linux, ensure performance, and write tests to protect quality.

The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and effective communication in English, with Italian/German as a plus. The position emphasizes ongoing learning, code reviews, and contributing to a high-tech e-mobility environment in Trentino region.

Integrate new payment solutions and adapt existing ones to customer requirements. Troubleshoot issues related to payment solutions and write clean, efficient, well-documented code. Write tests to ensure quality and prevent regressions; optimize applications for performance and scalability. Conduct code reviews and stay updated with the latest development practices. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, OOP, multithreading, memory management, debugging and performance optimization. Experience in C++, embedded Linux development, SQL databases (MySQL/SQLite). Solid knowledge of payment solutions. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, TCP/IP networks and protocols. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Independent, analytical, team-oriented mindset. Fluent in English; Italian and/or German is a plus.
