Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Ref 26545)
Summary
Develop embedded C/C++ software for waveform processing systems, integrating with DSP/FPGA and RF hardware while ensuring performance and correctness.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software modules supporting waveform processing systems.
• Implement software components for waveform modes, sequencing, control flows, and coordination with DSP/FPGA blocks.
• Contribute to embedded software architecture in alignment with overall system and waveform design.
• Work closely with DSP, FPGA, RF, and System Engineering teams to support end to end software integration.
• Participate in reviews of embedded software designs, control logic, and waveform APIs, providing technical feedback.
• Perform debugging, validation, and optimization of embedded software to ensure functional correctness and performance.
• Assist in technical trade off analysis and contribute to engineering decision making within defined scope.
• Support systems bring up, integration, and testing activities across hardware and software boundaries.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation covering software architecture, interfaces, and control behavior.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers where applicable.
Requirements
• Knowledge in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of embedded software development using C/C++, with understanding of RTOS concepts.
• Good understanding of DSP fundamentals and embedded software interaction with FPGA/DSP waveform processing blocks.
• Hands on experience controlling FPGA/DSP functions via APIs, registers, memory mapped interfaces, or messaging mechanisms.
• Familiarity with software architecture for waveform or signal processing systems.
• Experience validating and verifying waveform behavior using simulation, test, and verification tools.
• Familiar with profiling, debugging, and troubleshooting tools for embedded software systems.
• Experience debugging software–hardware integration issues across embedded processors, FPGA, DSP, and RF subsystems.
• Able to analyze technical issues systematically and document software behavior and interfaces clearly.
