Senior Engineer, Automation
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Automation innovation:
1.1 Lead an innovation project to works to design and assemble automatic machines which satisfy requirement of end users
1.2 Providing automation engineering expertise for capital projects, studies and plant issues.
1.3 Work with design group when needed to help resolve internal and external questions on mechanical and assembly methods as related to products
1.4 Trouble shooting major issue reported by end user of the developed machines
1.5 Work with external vendor/contractor to build/ fabricate parts/ modules of self-developed automatic machines
1.6 Provides specific technical expertise to support special projects and process improvements.
1.7 Write and review engineering reports; participates in proposal writing
1.8 Make project BoM and other Technical Manual

Process Operations & Team Leadership
2.1 Receive, judge and process technical feedback and suggestion from production team and relevant department
2.2 Lead a team of technicians

Technical Communication & Collaboration
3.1 Develop the relationships with technology suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and technology experts.
3.2 Work with the experts in Dallas CTS to review and update operation/trouble shutting guidelines for process
3.3 Effective communication with local and offshore engineering groups to ensure effective methods are developed to support low and high-volume production capabilities
3.4 Proactively track team commitment and give feedback in time

Special Project
4.1 Support special projects as required
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of following major: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in machine design.
Skills
- Ability to use one of popular CAD software to design a machine part or sketch
- Ability to program a PLC from popular brand eg. Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi
- Ability to use fundamentally at least one programming language (C++, C#, Python,…) is advantage
- Knowledge of controlling/program machine arms, SCARA is advantage
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to anticipate and handle multiple programs and priorities.
- Strong analytical/ problem solving/ trouble shooting skills.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to some of chemicals and machine oils. Works in manufacturing environment

Safety Requirements
