Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer, IT Infrastructure to join their team and support critical IT infrastructure and 24/7 services.
You will work across Network, Systems and FinOps, focusing on monitoring, observability, incident support and cloud cost optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage monitoring and observability platforms across applications, databases, systems and networks.
Monitor system health, logs, metrics and alerts to identify issues and performance gaps.
Perform incident triage, impact assessment and coordinate with Application, Cloud, Network and Database teams.
Develop service health dashboards and reports for management and stakeholders.
Support major incidents and drive improvements in system reliability and monitoring.
Monitor AWS and infrastructure costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Manage cloud cost allocation, tagging, budgets and alerts.
Prepare cost reports, forecasts and optimisation plans.
Drive observability, automation and SRE practices, including SLIs, SLOs and error budgets.
Provide after-hours support, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience in IT Operations, NOC, Service Assurance or Cloud/Infrastructure Operations.
Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools.
Experience in on-premise and AWS cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of system, network and infrastructure monitoring.
Experience with AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK or similar tools.
Experience with AWS Cost Explorer, budgeting and tagging.
Knowledge of cloud cost optimisation and FinOps concepts.
Familiar with ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and coordination skills, especially during critical incidents.
Good to Have
AWS Certification – Associate level or above
AWS FinOps Certified Practitioner
Knowledge of SRE, observability and service-level management
