Responsible for the design, technical coordination, procurement support, construction oversight, commissioning, and handover of Chemical and Slurry Distribution Systems within semiconductor manufacturing facilities. The role provides technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, safety regulations, and project objectives

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

1. Engineering Design & Technical Leadership

  • Lead the development of Concept Design (CD), Basic Design (BD), and Detailed Design (DD) for Chemical and Slurry Distribution Systems.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, process calculations, datasheets, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Ensure designs comply with client requirements, applicable codes, industry standards, and safety requirements

2. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary technical interface between Exyte and clients.
  • Present technical solutions and engineering recommendations during design reviews, workshops, and project meetings.
  • Support process optimisation and ensure systems meet operational and performance requirements

3. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Develop technical specifications and tender documentation.
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations, vendor clarifications, and tender interviews.
  • Review vendor submissions and provide recommendations for equipment and package procurement

4. Construction, Commissioning & Start-Up

  • Support construction teams and oversee installation activities for Chemical and Slurry Distribution Systems.
  • Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and start-up activities.
  • Participate in Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and system verification activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.

5. Mentoring & Project Delivery

  • Mentor and guide junior process engineers.
  • Monitor project deliverables, schedules, risks, and technical performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implementation of engineering best practices

Additional:

  • Develop and review user requirements specifications (URS) and process design documents.
  • Develop and review process P&IDs, calculations, interface lists, and engineering reports.
  • Participate in HAZOP, Safety-in-Design, and risk assessment activities.
  • Develop Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for procurement, construction, commissioning, and validation activities.
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and variation evaluations.
  • Support cost estimation, progress evaluations, and change management activities.
  • Participate in BIM model reviews, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination activities.
  • Review and approve vendor documentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements and design intent

Show your expertise

Education

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, advanced technology, pharmaceutical, or industrial process facilities.
  • Experience in:
    • Chemical Distribution Systems (CDS)
    • Slurry Distribution Systems (SDS)
    • High-Purity Process Piping Systems
    • Semiconductor Utility Systems
  • Experience in commissioning and startup of process systems is preferred
