Description
- Architectural ownership of core Identity and Attribute domains and related APIs
- Operating as primary technical interface between Product squads, Risk/FinCrime, and Verification providers
- Hiring, mentoring, and leading a multi-level engineering team
- Owning schemas and data contracts for people, businesses, roles and attributes
- Driving data quality, lineage, and auditability
- Leading design and evolution of core Identity and Attributes domains
- Defining robust API contracts and data schemas
- Managing attribute acquisition and lifecycle
- Powering new onboarding and product experiences
- Establishing and enforcing technical standards for Data Lineage, Data Quality, and Auditability
- Managing recruitment strategy to grow the team
- Defining clear roles and efficient processes
- Serving as key technical partner to Product, FinCrime, and other Engineering Leads
- Championing architectural vision for the platform
- Ensuring platform is built for high availability, low latency, and massive scale
- Managing operational health (SLAs/SLOs) of a critical, real-time risk service
- Strong hands-on technical experience in OOP languages (Java)
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring software engineers
- Strong product and customer mindset
- Experience building customer facing products
- Experience working with and building distributed, high scalability systems and microservices architectures
- Great communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional peers like designers, product managers, analysts and data scientists
- Expertise in schema design, indexing strategies, and query optimization for ACID-compliant transactional data
- Experience with partitioning and read-replicas for scaling
- Experience handling unstructured data at scale
- Experience implementing sharding and optimizing aggregation pipelines
- Experience leveraging Redis or Valkey for high-performance distributed caching
