Senior EUC Engineer – Azure DevOps & Microsoft Purview
Pryan is seeking an experienced Senior End User Computing Engineer for an Australian Government contract opportunity in Canberra.
This is a hands-on Level 3 engineering and automation role, with a strong focus on modernising end-user services through Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Microsoft Purview Information Protection and PowerShell. You will work with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable services and improve operational efficiency through automation.
The role
You will design, maintain and support enterprise end-user computing platforms, develop deployment pipelines and configuration-as-code solutions, and automate the deployment of information-protection controls. Responsibilities also include upgrades, application deployments, patching, complex troubleshooting, technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
Essential experience
Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines: Strong, recent hands-on experience with source control, branching, pull requests, deployment stages, approvals, service connections and controlled releases.
Microsoft Purview Information Protection: Practical experience engineering sensitivity labels, label policies and Data Loss Prevention configurations, including automation, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
Enterprise EUC platforms: Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 11, Microsoft Intune and Group Policy, covering configuration, compliance, device management, application deployment, patching and Standard Operating Environment management.
Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise: Deployment, servicing profiles and update-channel management.
Technical documentation: High-quality designs, standard operating procedures, implementation plans and operational documentation.
Experience with Git and PowerShell automation is important to the role. Australian Government security experience—including the ISM, Essential Eight and ACSC hardening guides—and Exchange/Exchange Online experience are desirable.
Working arrangements
The position is Canberra-based, with onsite attendance required. Working from home may be considered by agreement, subject to business needs; fully remote delivery is not available. The engagement allows up to 40 hours per week, and applicants must be able to obtain Baseline security clearance.
