Detailed Job Description

As a Senior Executive, DevOps & Release Engineering supporting enterprise cloud operations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of cloud infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD pipeline automation, release management, and systems hardening. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing and deploying AWS cloud resources using Terraform, automating configuration management with Ansible, orchestrating containerized workloads via Docker and Kubernetes, managing Linux, Windows, and VMware data center environments, writing automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and integrating robust monitoring and observability tools. You will utilize your proactive troubleshooting and engineering skills to collaborate closely with software development squads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure architectures and serverless environments on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Build, optimize, and maintain automated Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for rapid software delivery.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Automate server configuration management, software provisioning, and patch deployments using Ansible.
• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise Linux, Windows Server, VMware virtualization, and physical data centre infrastructure.
• Deploy and orchestrate containerized microservices using Docker and Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop robust automation scripts, tooling utilities, and log parsers using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Collaborate cross-functional with software developers, security officers, and quality assurance squads to ensure seamless production releases.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3+ years of progressive professional experience in DevOps engineering, cloud architecture, or infrastructure administration.
• Strong, demonstrable hands-on operational experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services and core networking.
• Deep practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
• Comprehensive practical experience administering Linux, Windows, VMware, and traditional data centre infrastructure.
• Proven track record working with containerization and orchestration platforms including Docker and Kubernetes.
