Senior Executive, DevOps & Release Engineering

Summary
Designs and manages CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and hybrid cloud infrastructure — primarily AWS with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker — while ensuring monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog), security, and compliance in a 24/7 Kuala Lumpur-based operations environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- CI/CD & Release Management: Design, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release governance.
- Infrastructure Automation: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation across hybrid environments.
- Cloud & Infrastructure Operations: Manage AWS cloud services, VMware, Linux/Wintel systems, data centres, containers, IAM, and SSO.
- Reliability & Monitoring: Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, system resilience, and observability using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.
- Security & Compliance: Implement secure DevOps practices and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory and financial industry standards.
- Cloud-Native Technologies: Manage Kubernetes, serverless services, and messaging platforms while leveraging automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve deployments, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Documentation & Governance: Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and release standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and source control tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
- Familiarity with VMware, Linux/Wintel, Docker, Kubernetes, networking, IAM, and SSO.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools, security practices, and compliance requirements.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, and automation across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Practical experience managing AWS services, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and release deployments.
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, high availability, and disaster recovery in 24/7 operational environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
Skills and Competencies:
