Want your chance to make a mark on a world-class, record-breaking event? We are hiring for a Senior Experience Designer to join our event operations team to deliver the Australian Open 2027. This is a full-time fixed-term contract until March 2027.

About the role
Reporting to the Customer Experience & Design Strategy Manager, you will take priority AO27 experiences from early concept through to live delivery. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will present evidence-based recommendations, balancing customer experience with commercial, technical and operational constraints. During the Australian Open, you will also conduct on-the-ground research to understand how live services perform and identify opportunities for future improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- designing app and web experiences from wireframes through to high-fidelity UI
- mapping current and future-state patron journeys across digital and physical touchpoints
- facilitating workshops and co-design sessions with cross-functional teams
- translating service concepts into clear requirements and blueprints; and planning and conducting user research and usability testing.
About you
You’re an enthusiastic designer who blends creativity with systems thinking. You thrive in collaboration and know how to get things done in cross-functional teams.
You have:
- 5+ years of UX, service, or product design experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- A standout portfolio of user-centric design work to showcase
- Advanced Figma proficiency and a keen visual eye
- Experience designing for accessibility and inclusion
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- An understanding of Agile and Lean practice
- Preparedness to be flexible regarding working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
