Senior Finance Business Analyst

Salary: $900-1,000 per day
An experienced Senior Finance Business Analyst is required to join a leading financial services organisation on an initial 6-month contract, supporting the implementation of a new finance technology solution. Working closely with Finance, Technology and key business stakeholders, you will play an important role in delivering the implementation and improving financial processes, reporting and planning capabilities.
Key responsibilities
Gather and document business requirements and functional specifications for the finance systems implementation.
Work closely with Finance and Technology teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to understand current processes and define future-state requirements.
Undertake gap analysis, process mapping and solution design.
Support testing, UAT, implementation and go-live activities.
Ensure solutions align with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting requirements.
About you
5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of finance, accounting and reporting processes, ideally with a CA/CPA background.
Previous experience working on finance transformation or systems implementation projects.
Exposure to financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
Strong capabilities across requirements gathering, functional specifications, process mapping and UAT.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience working in Agile environments.
Experience with enterprise planning and forecasting platforms will be highly regarded.
