Lunar Group, a Copenhagen-based digital bank, seeks a Senior Finance Systems & Data Engineer to design financial data architecture from core banking through the ledger and warehouse into Business Central, automate month-end close, and own finance systems. Core tools include SQL, Python, APIs, MCP, and LLM/agent tooling.
You will design financial data architecture and the flow of data from core banking platforms through the ledger and data warehouse into Business Central. You will automate month-end close processes, investigate and resolve data issues, administer finance systems, and translate finance needs into technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design financial data architecture and data flows
- Lead automation of the month-end close
- Query, reconcile, and resolve finance data issues
- Own Business Central and relevant finance systems
- Set data-quality standards across finance source systems
- Translate finance requirements for data squads
- Rethink core finance processes with AI
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in an architect, engineering, or finance systems role
- SQL
- Python
- Data extraction, transformation, and modelling
- API integration
- MCP
- Month-end close experience
- Knowledge of cut-off, reconciliations, and audit trails
- Finance-system or ERP administration experience
- Experience with LLMs or agent tooling, or willingness to learn
- Senior stakeholder communication
- Business Central experience is a strong plus
- Core banking experience is a strong plus
