The Opportunity:
Postmedia Network Inc. is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is essential to our organization’s financial planning and analysis, providing senior-level insights and recommendations that influence strategic decision-making. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting various departments through detailed financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue reconciliations. Expertise with Prophix or similar financial planning and analysis software is strongly preferred.

What you'll do:

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Analyze and evaluate financial performance across multiple departments, identifying significant trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Perform and oversee advertising revenue reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in reporting and alignment with contractual agreements.
Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including revenue analysis, expense management, and key performance indicators, to senior management.
Collaborate with department heads and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business objectives and strategic goals.
Maintain, enhance, and optimize financial models to improve forecasting accuracy and reporting effectiveness.
Guide the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing key insights and recommendations.
Utilize Prophix (or similar FP&A software) for financial consolidation, budgeting, and reporting tasks, ensuring data integrity and process efficiency.
Lead ad-hoc financial analysis to support high-impact projects and senior management decision-making.
Drive process improvements within financial reporting and analysis workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is a strong asset.
4-6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a senior or lead role.
Proven expertise in revenue reconciliations, ideally within a media or advertising industry setting.
Proficiency with Prophix or other financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion) is strongly preferred.
Proficiency with NetSuite or other ERP tool
Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with strong organizational and project management skills.

Compensation:
Employment offers presented to the selected candidate are based on a combination of qualifications, experience, responsibilities of the role and the candidate's location.
Base Salary: $79,000-$90,000
