Metro Supply Chain Group Senior Financial Reporting & Consolidation Analyst
The Senior Financial Reporting & Consolidation Analyst is responsible for the preparation, integrity, and delivery of consolidated financial results and executive reporting. The role acts as a key partner to senior finance leadership, ensuring high-quality financial information while supporting strategic initiatives and process improvements.
Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process across multiple entities
Prepare consolidated financial statements, including supporting schedules and disclosures
Review and validate financial data submitted by business units, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and review complex consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments
Support the preparation of executive-level reporting packages (CFO, Board, investors)
Provide clear and concise analysis of financial results, including key drivers and variances
Perform detailed balance sheet reviews and investigate variances
Play a key role in the financial close process, including preparation and review of complex journal entries
Analyze complex accounting issues and support documentation of accounting positions
Play a key role in financial systems initiatives, including ERP implementations, integrations, or upgrades
Enhance data quality, automation, and reporting efficiency (e.g., Power BI, reporting tools)
Contribute to strengthening internal controls and governance practices
Act as a primary contact during external audits for areas under responsibility
Lead the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to audit queries
Ensure compliance with IFRS (or applicable standards) and internal control requirements
Additional duties as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field
CPA designation (completed)
7–10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation or audit
Advanced understanding of consolidation principles (intercompany eliminations, FX, multi-entity structures)
Exposure to ERP implementations, system integrations or reporting transformation initiatives
Strong knowledge of IFRS
Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal in French and English, and the ability to develop relationships at all levels in the organization. The position holder will be required to communicate regularly with clients, management and colleagues located outside Quebec.
