What you'll do 🏡💻

You will own the forecast, budget and reporting for Puzzel's software revenue and CARR, and work with Sales to make the weekly bookings forecast more accurate. We have recently implemented two AI-native finance systems, Light and Abacum, so your time goes on forecasting, analysis and challenge, not on building reports by hand.

The first six months bring new systems and process change. We want someone who learns fast and handles both the detail and the change.

  • Software revenue and CARR: own the budget, forecast and month-end process, working with Billing, RevOps and Accounting. This is about 70% of the role.

  • CARR: build it by customer, product and industry as a live view, and be accountable for its accuracy and reconcile it back to the revenue.

  • Monthly reporting pack: deliver software revenue, CARR, NRR and GRR with commentary, and move it from Excel to an automated, AI-driven process.

  • Business partnering: follow up with cost centre owners on performance, present the bookings and ARR forecast for the CEO and CFO, and challenge assumptions to help Sales forecast more accurately.

  • Automation: work with RevOps to build an AI agent that runs routine revenue and bookings controls. You review its output and handle the complex cases.

  • New scope: own software COGS, develop third-party COGS analysis, review the demand generation model used in the budget, and build partner reporting on revenue and cost.

  • Ongoing support: ad hoc analysis for Finance colleagues, budget and forecast cycles, and continuous improvement of reporting using Light and Abacum.

The must haves 💪

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A or a similar finance role

  • Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to present financial insight clearly to management

  • Experience automating finance controls or building with AI tools

  • Working knowledge of SaaS or subscription metrics (ARR, NRR, GRR) and the difference between bookings, billing and revenue

  • Forecasting and budgeting experience, and the confidence to challenge commercial teams on their assumptions

  • Able to run several projects in parallel and keep to deadlines

  • A team player who also works independently, takes initiative and is comfortable with change

The nice to haves ➕➕➕

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification

  • Experience with a planning or consolidation tool, and with Salesforce data

  • Experience of a finance system implementation or process change

The location

This role is based in our Sofia office, with a hybrid set up of 2-3 days per week in the office.

What to expect from the interview process ❔

  • Screening call with Talent Acquisition

  • 1st interview with the Director of FP&A

  • 2nd interview face-to-face with some members of the local team including a short practical exercise

  • Final interview with CFO

Diversity & Inclusion 🌍

We want everyone at Puzzel to feel able to be their true, authentic self at work – regardless of nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical ability, age or economic background.

We're proud of our diverse, global workforce, but there's more to do. Our current gender split is 25% female to 75% male – in line with the SaaS average, but not where we want to be. Here's how we're improving it:

  • Our C-suite has moved from 100% male in 2023 to a 5:3 male-to-female split today.

  • Female hires grew from 23.6% in 2021 to 41% in 2024, dipping to 34% in 2025 — a trend we watch closely, but never treating as a tick-box exercise.

  • We partner with Flexa, to compound our aspiration to attract a diverse talent pool.

  • We work with state employment initiatives in Norway and Sweden on internship and apprenticeship routes, to help early-years talent into the workforce.

One Last Thing ☝🏻

Even if you're only a 75% match for this role, we still want to hear from you — this list is indicative, and skills can always be learnt.

We're unable to offer sponsorship for this role, so you'll need existing eligibility to work in the country you're applying to.
