Senior FPGA Engineer

Requirements:

• Proficient in VHDL
• Proficient in at least one simulation tool
• Proficient in at least one FPGA synthesis tool
• Good understanding of requirements capture, work package definition, and estimation
• Highly self-motivated and articulate, with good verbal and written communication skills
• Good team-working skills
• Excellent knowledge of FPGA development processes
• Experienced engineer, fully versed in design methodologies for the field, able to work independently and provide regular reporting
• Recent design experience with devices from at least one of these suppliers: Altera, Microsemi, or Xilinx
• Security clearance required on application; UK Eyes Only

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate that developed products meet specified product and customer requirements
• Analyse requirements and specify and document FPGA solutions and work breakdowns
• Prepare FPGA architectural and detailed designs and documentation
• Generate and implement FPGA designs
• Verify FPGA designs
• Integrate FPGAs onto the target platform
• Provide FPGA technical support
• Control and review team members work, where a team exists
• Support updates to the companys FPGA development processes and procedures

We are recruiting a Senior FPGA Engineer on behalf of our client for an initial six-month contract in Newport. The role is scheduled for Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, and is inside IR35. Pay is up to £85 via Umbrella.
