Summary

Own the FPGA firmware for a multi-camera video aggregation system on Lattice CrossLink-NX — writing Verilog RTL, switching and aggregating MIPI CSI-2/LVDS video streams into virtual channels, handling timing closure, and validating on hardware — for defense-critical systems in Ukraine. Project-based contract with potential for long-term cooperation.

We are building defense-critical systems for Ukraine and are looking for an experienced FPGA engineer to own the video aggregation firmware on Lattice CrossLink-NX – from architecture and RTL to board bring-up and hand-off.
Engagement: project-based contract, with potential for long-term cooperation.

What you'll do
Design and implement FPGA firmware in Verilog for multi-camera video processing on Lattice CrossLink-NX.
Receive video streams from multiple sources (MIPI CSI-2, LVDS, parallel), implement stream switching and aggregate them into MIPI CSI-2 virtual channels across 2 CSI-2 outputs.
Integrate and configure Lattice IP cores (CSI-2/D-PHY Rx/Tx, Byte-to-Pixel, Pixel-to-Byte) in Lattice Radiant.
Implement an I2C slave interface with a documented register map for configuration and status.
Handle clock domain crossing, timing constraints and timing closure.
Build testbenches, run simulation and validate the design on the evaluation board.
Deliver complete, documented Verilog source code.

What we're looking for
5+ years of FPGA development experience in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
Hands-on experience with MIPI CSI-2 and D-PHY, including virtual channels.
Experience with Lattice FPGAs (CrossLink-NX, CertusPro-NX or ECP5) and the Radiant or Diamond toolchain.
Solid understanding of video interfaces: LVDS, parallel video, sync signals, pixel formats.
Strong skills in CDC, timing constraints (SDC/PDC) and timing closure.
Experience with simulation tools (ModelSim/Questa, Verilator, cocotb or similar).
Comfortable debugging on real hardware: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, Reveal or similar on-chip debug.

Will be a plus
Multi-camera systems, image sensor bring-up (Sony, OmniVision, onsemi).
Experience with drones, robotics, UAV payloads or other unmanned systems.
Xilinx/AMD or Intel FPGA experience in video applications.
Basic Python or C for test scripts and host-side I2C tooling.

What we offer
Direct contribution to the defense of Ukraine – short path from firmware to field deployment.
Ownership of FPGA architecture and technical decisions.
Competitive compensation based on experience.
