The Role
Keystone is recruiting, on behalf of a confidential client, for a Senior Front End Developer to build the real-time, mission-critical interfaces that let operators safely and confidently control autonomous equipment from a remote-control centre. As the user experience specialist in the team, you'll own the front-end and interface design end-to-end — working closely with Software Engineers, Data Engineers and Network Engineers to turn live APIs and real-time data streams into interfaces that are polished, intuitive and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement front-end user interfaces that translate operational and user requirements into intuitive, production-ready experiences
Collaborate with Software Engineers and Data Engineers to integrate APIs and real-time data into the user interface.
Ensure seamless interaction between front-end and back-end components.
Optimise front-end performance and ensure responsive design across different devices and screen sizes.
Work with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
Conduct front-end testing and troubleshooting to ensure usability, functionality and consistency with design specifications.
Maintain a high level of code quality and adherence to best practices in front-end development.
What You'll Bring
Languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript.
Frameworks: Strong, hands-on React.js experience is essential.
Real-time systems: Proven experience building real-time interfaces using WebSockets and live/streaming data.
APIs: RESTful APIs, GraphQL.
Version Control: Git, Bitbucket.
Platform: Cross-browser, cross-platform compatible and responsive.
Performance: Demonstrated experience optimising front-end performance and minimising load times.
Collaboration: Figma, Miro, JIRA, Confluence.
Highly Regarded
Experience with ThreeJS or other 3D / real-time data-visualisation libraries.
Background in real-time operational / control interface environments.
Desirable
Backend: Node.js, Python or similar.
Databases: SQL and database expertise.
Testing: Experience with front-end testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, Cypress, or Selenium).
Experience
Degree or TAFE qualified, or 2+ years' experience in a relevant senior front-end role.
