Senior Frontend Developer
Summary
Freelance senior frontend contract via KUBO for a banking-sector project in Joensuu, Finland. You build UI components for Android, iOS and web apps using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript and Kotlin, with Git, unit testing and Test Driven Development; hybrid, 3 onsite days per week.
Are you an experienced frontend developer who enjoys building intuitive mobile and web interfaces? We are looking for four Senior Frontend Developers to join a project in the banking sector in Joensuu, Finland. You will create new UI components for Android, iOS and web applications, working in an environment that follows Test Driven Development practices. Bring your frontend expertise and help deliver high-quality digital experiences!
Key responsibilities
- Develop new UI components for Android, iOS and/or web applications, depending on your expertise.
- Implement web interfaces using Angular, TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Contribute to mobile application development using platform-specific technologies, including Kotlin for Android.
- Write and maintain unit tests to support software quality and reliability.
- Apply Test Driven Development practices and contribute to automated testing.
- Use Git for version control and collaborate with the development team on delivering frontend functionality.
Ideal candidate profile
- Extensive commercial experience in frontend development at a senior level.
- Strong expertise in mobile development for Android and/or iOS, or web development using JavaScript frameworks.
- Practical knowledge of Angular, TypeScript and JavaScript for web-focused development.
- Experience with Kotlin and Android development and/or iOS application development for mobile-focused work.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and Git; familiarity with Test Driven Development would be an advantage.
- Fluent English and availability to work onsite in Joensuu three days per week.

Location: Joensuu, Finland
Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Employment Type: Freelance contract assignment, full-time allocation
Assignment Duration: 22 November 2026 – 31 March 2027 with possible extension
