About the work

Who the specialist will work with

The Frontend Developer will work as part of an agile team and is expected to work with User Researcher, User Experience Designer, Backend Developer, Technical Architect, WebOps, Delivery Manager, Product Manager and Users. Specialist is also expected to liaise with other Frontend Developers within UKTI to share tools and knowledge where needed.

Working arrangements Work will be on-site in London (Mon-Fri).

Security clearance BPSS is required for all personnel

Skills and experience

Essential skills and experience

• Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript (including ES6)
• Experience in building mobile first websites
• Worked with user research to understand requirements
• Used TDD or BDD and has experience with Mocha/Jasmine/Cucumber/Webdriver
• Sass
• Gulp/Babel/Webpack
• Node/Express
• Templating language such as Nunjucks or Handlebars
• REST

Nice-to-have skills and experience

• Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React JS and Angular
• Python/Django
• Docker
