Senior Full Stack Developer (JavaScript)

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic software development company focused on innovative web applications, is seeking a highly proficient Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong command of JavaScript technologies. This role, based in the scenic coastal city of Mossel Bay, Western Cape , involves designing, developing, and maintaining both the front-end and back-end components of our web applications. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement user-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Express.js).
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for both front-end and back-end systems.
• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and databases.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and stability.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to define and implement new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy discussions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in full-stack development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Proven experience with backend development using Node.js and related frameworks (Express.js).
• Solid understanding of database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
