Senior full stack developer (javascript)

This role, based in the scenic coastal city of Mossel Bay, Western Cape , involves designing, developing, and maintaining both the front-end and back-end components of our web applications. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement user-facing features using modern Java Script frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Express.js). Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for both front-end and back-end systems. Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and databases. Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and stability. Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness across various devices and browsers. Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to define and implement new features. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy discussions. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in full-stack development. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development. Strong proficiency in Java Script (ES6+) and experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js). Proven experience with backend development using Node.js and related frameworks (Express.js). Solid understanding of database technologies such as Postgre SQL, My SQL, Mongo DB. Experience with RESTful API design and implementation. Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
