Salary: $75 – $100 per hour depending on experience

About the company

AssetAccountant™ is a fast-growing global fintech based in Australia. We are creating a best-of-breed, cloud-based, fixed asset depreciation and lease calculation engine for accounting firms and corporates. We are agile, API-first, client-driven, office-less and 99% ego-free. Our development team is spread across Australia and New Zealand.

About the job

This is a fully-remote role for a senior developer on a small team. You'll be working with domain experts and backed by a QA team with automated testing suites.

We are genuinely flexible around people's lives. Regular meetings are limited and timed to accommodate New Zealand and Australia's east coast.

This is an ongoing role, not a fixed-term project. Our developers tend to stay for years.

Successful applicants will:

  • be based in Australia or New Zealand

  • have great communication skills

  • be able to own a feature from beginning to end

  • be able to develop a deep understanding of a complex problem domain

  • be able to stay motivated and work productively in a remote setting

  • always back the best idea, no matter whose it is

Bonus points for experience in Accounting / Tax / Fintech.

'X years of experience' or 'Y degree' is far less important to us than your intelligence, ability and approach to teamwork.

Technologies Used

  • .NET Core

  • Angular

  • SQL Server

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Claude Code

  • Terraform

Applications are reviewed by the developers you'll be working with.
