Senior Full Stack Engineer - Fintech / Hedge Fund Technology - Up to £140k + bonus
Summary
Senior full stack engineer building core hedge fund technology in-house for an established, well-funded fund with a small, startup-feel tech team in London. Day to day spans back-end services and UI (React) using C#/.NET and SQL Server, with agentic AI tools like Claude Code in the workflow; fully office-based, working directly with the CEO/CTO.
Build core technology inside a fund ecosystem where your work is felt immediately.
This is not a large engineering org where your contributions disappear into a backlog. The tech team is small, the environment has a startup feel, and the business is established and well-funded. What you build matters, and the people setting the direction are right next to you.
You'll work directly with the CEO and CTO and be involved in shaping decisions, not just executing them. Your visibility here is high from the start.
The technical scope is broad. You are building across multiple areas of hedge fund technology, which means genuinely varied and interesting problems. You are working across the full stack, from robust back-end services through to the UI (React or other modern front-end frameworks), using C# and .NET with strong relational database work in SQL Server at the core. You are also someone who is comfortable using agentic development tools like Claude Code or Codex as part of how you work day to day.
You communicate clearly with portfolio managers and business users, translating between the technical and the financial without losing either side. You're also used to taking ownership, leading pieces of work, and being the person others look to for direction on the harder problems.
This suits someone who has experience carrying senior responsibility and wants to do that inside a focused, high-calibre team rather than a large organisation where everything moves slowly.
This one is fully office-based, where you'll get the most of out working in a close knit technology team.
