Our client, an established e-commerce solutions provider, is seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in Python and Django to join their innovative team in Soweto, Gauteng. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python, Django, and related frameworks.
- Build and integrate frontend components using modern Java Script, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project requirements and deliver solutions.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the full stack.
- Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to technical roadmap planning.
- Ensure database performance and integrity.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging web development technologies and trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in full stack web development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with the Django framework.
- Solid understanding of frontend technologies: Java Script (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular) is a plus.
- Proficiency in database management (e.g., Postgre SQL, My SQL) and ORM concepts.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deployment strategies is advantageous.
