Senior Full Stack Engineer

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Sphere, you will play a critical role in building and scaling our risk intelligence platform. You will work across the full technology stack to implement core product features, improve system performance, and contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of the platform.

This is a hybrid role located in Gurgaon therefore applicants are required to be located in Gurgaon / commutable distance to Gurgaon.

a) Full-Stack Development

• Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient code across backend (Python/Django), frontend (React/Next.js), and database (PostgreSQL, Redis).

• Translate product and UX designs into functional user interfaces and responsive web applications.

• Build and maintain API endpoints for integration with AI/ML models, third-party data sources, and internal services.

• Tracking progress and deploying the code using GitHub, Docker and AWS.

b) System Architecture & Design

• Work closely with the CTO to design and implement modular, secure, and high-performance systems.

• Participate in architectural planning for microservices, caching layers, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.

• Contribute to platform-wide initiatives such as scalability, security hardening, and fault-tolerant systems.

c) Quality, Testing & Delivery

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with appropriate test coverage.

• Lead or contribute to code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Champion engineering best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and documentation standards.

d) Technical Ownership & Mentorship

• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned platform modules (e.g., Admin UI, inspection dashboards, control scoring engine) from architecture to deployment.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and engineering efforts.

• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to ensure robust, tested releases.

e) Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and external partners to ensure timely and high-quality feature delivery.

• Collaborate with the AI/ML team to integrate intelligent scoring models and geo-spatial data feeds into the platform.

f) Innovation & Continuous Learning

• Explore and evaluate new technologies (e.g., containerization, serverless design, or AI integrations) to improve platform scalability and performance

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Total professional experience between 5 to 10 years, with minimum 2 years of experience in Django and 2 years of ReactJS is must
• Hands on experience in the following technologies – Django, DRF, ReactJS, NextJS, Tailwind CSS, HTML, CSS, JS
• Strong understanding of OOPs concepts
• Proficient in using the core features of Django
• Experience in databases (Postgres/MySQL/Redis)
• Familiar with Docker, GitHub, CI/CD, AWS, DevOps
• Previous experience of banking applications is an additional benefit
• Understanding of REST APIs and web security best practices
• Experience in Geospatial data will be a plus
• Experience in AI Model Integrations will be a plus
• Basic understanding of Testing frameworks.
