Senior Full Stack Engineer (Typescript/GO)
Summary
Builds TypeScript front-ends (React/Svelte/Vue) and Go back-ends for a proprietary crypto trading firm, collaborating with traders to create responsive UIs and high-performance data visualizations.
A successful, growing proprietary crypto trading firm with tradfi roots is looking to grow a core engineering team focused on building out applications in direct partnership with the trading desk. You'll be part of a small, elite group that have been generating significant PnL regardless of the wider market. The firm is based across a number of APAC locations and can offer the role remotely in Singapore, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. Prior crypto and trading knowledge is not required.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with traders, researchers, and product managers to translate complex workflows into elegant UI solutions. Design and implement high-performance, responsive front-end applications using a current-generation TypeScript framework (Svelte, React, or Vue). Design, build and operate Go back-end services with security and performance considerations baked into their design. Develop high-performance data visualizations for large, fast-updating datasets, using canvas-based charting (e.g. uPlot, TradingView Lightweight Charts) and D3.js for bespoke views.
Qualifications
7+ years full-stack experience, building both front-end and back-end production systems. Strong, current TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and one or more modern front-end frameworks (Svelte, React, or Vue), with the adaptability to work primarily in the framework a team has chosen rather than staying tied to one. Strong, current Go experience, able to design, build and operate production Go services independently. Genuine UI/UX sensibility—you can tell a polished interface from a rough one, and care about the difference. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and version control.
