About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong backend expertise to join Way Security’s core R&D team. You’ll help take an early-stage product to its next level by building new capabilities and scaling the platform to support a growing customer base with greater reliability and availability.

This is a hands-on role with meaningful influence over our technology and product. You’ll shape solutions to complex engineering challenges and own features from backend services through to the user interface, with an emphasis on clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

Our tech stack includes a multi-cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP) with Golang, python GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of features across the stack, with a strong backend focus, turning early product ideas into capabilities customers use in production.
• Build and evolve backend services to support more customers, complex workflows, and growing usage.
• Develop frontend functionality that connects backend capabilities to a clear, intuitive user experience.
• Help shape technical architecture and product solutions, balancing immediate needs with long-term scalability.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and availability through testing, monitoring, and ongoing optimization.
• Apply AI tools to accelerate development, explore solutions, and improve testing and debugging while maintaining high engineering standards.
• Work closely with Product and engineering teammates, reviewing designs and code and driving features through to release.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong backend expertise and hands-on full stack development experience.
• Experience building and scaling production systems in a startup environment, with meaningful ownership as part of a core engineering team.
• Strong backend development skills in Go, Python, or Node.js, and the ability to learn and work across languages.
• Practical experience developing frontend applications with TypeScript.
• Experience designing services, APIs, and data models, and addressing scalability and reliability challenges.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in software development.
• The ability to work independently, navigate evolving requirements, and take features from an initial idea to production.
