Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer

Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of user-centered software as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You drive technical excellence, own development and deployment pipelines, and mentor junior engineers. You will communicate progress to stakeholders and shape solutions for complex client problems. This position sits at the intersection of strategy, design and technology, helping Hippo deliver secure, scalable digital services with meaningful impact. • Lead production of user-centered software aligned with business requirements and best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver solutions for complex client problems
• Own software development and deployment pipelines, addressing issues and bottlenecks
• Present prototypes, solutions, and progress clearly to internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor and coach other engineers to support their professional development

• Extensive Kotlin and JVM experience
• Strong Java experience across the full development lifecycle for user-centered digital solutions
• Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js or Nunjucks
• Track record delivering high-quality, scalable solutions
• Backend services with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework
• Experience with microservices design and RESTful APIs
• Solid knowledge of public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and DevOps practices with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
