Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer
Summary
Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer at Veo (Copenhagen, on-site): build coaching/analysis tools that turn AI-tracked sports match video into insights, taking part in the full product lifecycle across frontend, backend, and APIs. Stack includes Python/Django/PostgreSQL on the backend and TypeScript/Node.js/React on the frontend.
Veo is an AI-powered sports camera and analysis ecosystem built for one job: turning what happens on a pitch into proof. Capture, viewing, data and analytics, sharing- all in one system, all pointed at the same thing.
That's bigger than football. Every player, on every pitch, gets access to the kind of proof only the top academies used to keep for themselves. It's the future we're building.
Every youth match still has a moment nobody saw. A run that won the game, underneath everyone's radar. A kid written off before anyone actually checked. We exist to close that gap, one match at a time.
One camera on any pitch feeds an AI that tracks every player and the ball for the whole game, turning what happened into evidence instead of somebody's opinion.
That's the actual job here. Not shipping features. Building the system that gives proof to someone who used to rely on a hunch.
If you've ever watched a match and wondered who else saw what you saw, you already know why this matters.
We're looking for people who want to build that future with us.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering organization and help build the digital experiences that teams, coaches, and athletes rely on every week.
In this role, you will work across the full stack—developing scalable backend services, designing resilient APIs, and building responsive, intuitive web interfaces. You’ll be part of a cross-functional product team partnering closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, native mobile engineers, and platform specialists to take ideas from concept to production.
Your work directly influences user engagement, product adoption, and long-term platform value. Whether it involves streamlining how users access and interact with our tools or helping them unlock deeper insights from their matchday media, you will build software that turns video and match data into meaningful, everyday habits for sports communities worldwide.
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain full-stack capabilities, developing scalable backend APIs and high-quality web interfaces.
- Participate in the complete product lifecycle: from initial problem discovery, ideation, feature scoping, technical planning, design discussions, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing iteration based on user data.
- Partner with our native iOS and Android engineers to ensure backend systems and API contracts seamlessly support mobile-first user flows.
- Design clean data models, reliable integrations, and maintainable services with an eye toward performance and scale.
- Incorporate modern AI development tools into your workflow to iterate quickly and build thoughtful software solutions.
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and shared ownership of the team’s systems.
What You Could Bring
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a product-led environment.
- Experience working across frontend and backend development.
- A product mindset, with an interest in understanding real user problems and working with Product and Design to turn them into thoughtful technical solutions.
- Backend experience using Python, Rust, or another comparable language, together with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Frontend experience using TypeScript or JavaScript and a modern SPA framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Experience building reliable RESTful or GraphQL APIs for web or native mobile applications.
- A thoughtful approach to automated testing, CI/CD, and maintaining production-quality systems.
- Curiosity about modern AI development tools and how they can support everyday engineering workflows
